Khaleeqa Sadiika

Hello, my name is Khaleeqa Sadiika. I was born and raised on the eastside of Columbus Ohio. I graduated from Wilmington High School in 2000, and studied at Wilmington College for three years majoring in Criminal Justice and Computer Science. After which I began a seven-year battle with homelessness, prostitution, addiction and untreated mental health issues. I was influenced to change my life through an unexpected pregnancy, I was able to overcome my problems and issues by receiving effective assistance and services that helped me transform my life into a positive direction.

Compassion for the women still out there suffering from these treatable problems and issues is the reason why, as part of my recovery I decided to give back to the community and create an outlet for those who struggle with the same issues I once struggled with. Today I am the CEO/Founder of Life Beyond the Streets Inc., a peer recovery coaching service provider for women who are suffering with addiction, prostitution, untreated mental health issues and women who have become victims of human trafficking.

LBTS previously operated the only Drop-in Center for women in the Greater Linden Community and recently opened a second Drop-In Center on East Main St. through our Mobil support ministry, we provide “Hygiene love bags” to increase access to sexual education and health options for women who are still involved in prostitution. We also provide sack lunches to help women keep up with balanced nutrition. Life beyond the Streets Inc. serves as a peer coordinator that links and refers clients to proper profession resources such as, detox centers, rehab facilities, and sober living housing. Life beyond the streets Inc. Serves as an aid and refuge in restoring women plagued by the bondage of addiction, prostitution, untreated mental health issues, and homelessness, and victims of human trafficking.
